History

One of the oldest faculties of the University, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences was founded in 1958. At the time the Faculty of Arts and Sciences were separated two independent faculties in 1969. It was after the establishment of the Council of Higher Education in 1982 that the two faculties were recombined in order to keep up with the rapid development in national academic research, and then Faculty of Arts and Sciences were separated to Arts Faculty and Science Faculty in 17 September 2008 by the decision of the Council of Ministers.
