Ataturk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı met with the Faculty of Medicine Faculty Members working at Atatürk University Research Hospital, one of the largest health centers in Eastern Anatolia.
In the conference hall of the Research Hospital, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Fatih Albayrak and the Chief Physician of the hospital Prof. Dr. Rector Çomaklı, who met with academicians together with Fuat Gündoğdu; exchanged ideas on advice, requests and suggestions.
Personal Rights of Healthcare Professionals Have Been Improved
Rector Çomaklı, who talked about the change in the regulation made by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) to the academicians, stated that an amendment was made in the regulation on the procedures and principles to be applied in the distribution of the additional payment to be made from the revolving fund revenues in higher education institutions, and said that the health workers working at the universities were not entitled to their personal rights, taking into account the contribution and efficiency of the facility. He said improvement was made.
“Our Hospital is the Pupil of the Region”
Çomaklı stated that the Research Hospital, which serves the citizens coming from the region and the surrounding countries on the one hand, and is a training center for physician candidate students, also has an important economic ecosystem with its inputs and outputs, and that for this reason, every work done at the university and the hospital is open to international observation: “We have to become original, nationalized and produce our own values with the work done. Being a nation has only one value, and that is to succeed in being one and whole. However, in this way, good works will come out of the universities, which are the cuisines of the countries. We are continuing our efforts at full speed to have a say in the world of health, which is one of the locomotives of Atatürk University. Our hospital, where we supply the latest technological equipment used in the field of health, is the apple of the eye of the region. From now on, we will make the necessary moves and take firm steps towards this goal with the efforts of our esteemed members.”
